A Funny Fit for a Queen
Last December, I visited New York City to present at the Institute for Humane Education’s Sowing Seeds workshop. My talk was on how to teach gay issues in the classroom, using the Women’s Educational Media materials.

While there, my friends, Jeremy and his boyfriend George, took me to see an amazing performance by Edie the drag queen . She is a class act: no swearing, lewdness, or drunkenness — just good clean fun. I was not surprised to find out that she — like me — is a native Oregonian, vegetarian, and against killing animals for fur: a true queen after my own heart!
Anyway, this joke came from her performance.
Question: What did the zero say to the eight?
Answer: Nice belt!
