You Make Your Own Happiness
“He who harps on his woes, multiplies them manifold.” –Mohandas Gandhi
• Sometimes it feels good to complain, but does it generally improve the situation; or does it tend to keep us (and those around us) stressed, tense and anxious?
• What are more productive and calming alternatives to complaining?
• Think of a time where you wanted to complain, but your higher self restrained you. What was that experience like? What allowed you to maintain your composure? Did you appreciate the self-control shown?

I feel so picked on! Did you write this just for me?

Hi Aimster!
Not only was I thinking of you, but also of your progeny, unto the third and forth generations.
Seriously, this quote is for everyone. I have found it helpful in my own efforts to curb my complaining, and I hope it can help others do the same. It’s so much better to be thankful for the abundance that we have in our lives by giving thanks for both the “good things,” as well as the “bad.”
